The festival will feature artists transforming the town of Alys Beach into a “living work of art.” The festival has attracted many diverse artists from photographers to digital artists and interactive designers to celebrities. Typically attracting artists from all corners of the globe, previous submissions at digital graffiti art festivals have come from Germany, Italy, France, India and China, to name a few.
The Digital Graffiti Festival will award prizes in the several categories.
- The Best of Show – $5,000 prize

The works will be displayed on various walls and rooftops around the town. The Digital Graffiti festival does not charge a fee for artists to submit their work. However, Alys Beach asks that artists agree to allow Alys Beach to use the work for promotional purposes.
The Digital Graffiti Festival includes video art and projection art consisting of short digital videos. Also included are YouTube clips, Adobe Flash animations and PhotoShop creations. This is the fourth year for the festival in Alys Beach. Digital projection is often referred to as “urban projection” or “photon bombing.” Used by many around the world as an alternative means of artistic expression, the Digital Graffiti Festival in Alys Beach is the first outdoor festival that was organized specifically to display the artwork.
Organizers expect this year’s festival to be even more amazing than previous ones. There will be 300 digital artists from 18 countries. The 36 finalists will be competing for the prizes mentioned above. The 2011 Digital Graffiti Festival will begin at 8:30 p.m. and run until midnight on June 11, 2011. Tickets are currently on sale and will be available at the gate on the night of the festival.
