Begin your St. Patricks Day activities on Friday, March 16th when the Annual 30A St. Patrick’s Day Parade, with Grand Marshall Jac McTighe, begins at 3:30 pm at Gulf Trace, which is about a third of a mile west of Grayton Corner. The procession will be graced with the true Celtic band Mickle-A-Do and will proceed West to Gulf Place. At 4:30pm an Irish Festival will commence. It is suggested that if you bring your “McDog” that you bring “McDog” on a leash.
St. Patrick’s Day, which is nicely placed on a Saturday this year, will be celebrated at The Village of Baytowne Wharf with Celtic Music at the Events Plaza. Music is provided by Henri’s Notions and the hours of melodious enjoyment are from 6-9 pm.
Noon is the onset of the St. Patrick’s Day activities at HarborWalk Village’s 4th Annual Grogg Games and Irish Street Festival. Live music with Bag Pipers, Irish dancers, Irish fare and Authentic Irish beer are just to name a few of what’s happening at the Village. There will be Grogg games challenging willing participants with Irish themed games and also there will be arts and crafts for the wee ones. The festivities will last until 11:00 pm.
Whether wee or grand, there are plenty St. Patricks Day activities for the Irish of heart, along the Emerald coast. It is a time for families and friends to celebrate the customs of yore.
If you are drinking, please have a designated driver and do not drink and drive!
