2012 4th of July Fireworks – 30A to Destin FL

From 30A to Destin, FL there are plenty of 4th of July fireworks and Independence Day Celebrations!

4th of July fireworks in Destin FLIt is a time to commemorate our full independence from Great Britain in 1776 after fighting long and hard and it’s a time to remember all those who continue to keep this land free and independent of rule from others.

With this in mind, let us CELEBRATE! Here are some July 4th events and 4th of July fireworks, beginning with:

The City of Destins Fourth Annual Independence Day Celebration & Bike Parade:
June 29th 6:30pm-9:00pm Morgan’s Sports Center, ages 14 and under – Decorate your bikes, scooters or wagons. Check in 5:45 p.m. next to the concession stand in the middle of the softball fields. Awards will be given for different categories in each age division. Chalk drawing and refreshments available to all participants. Live music with Chuck Lawson, kickball, moonwalks, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball and a fireworks show follow the parade. Bring your chair, blanket and snacks. No charge. Unfortunately, no pets allowed.

It’s a 4th of July Parade:
July 4th 8:00am – Community of Seaside – beginning at Seagrove Plaza on 30A and ending in Seaside where a winning parade entry will be selected. Don’t forget to bring your patriotic pooches dressed in their finest holiday costumes. Guests on bikes, scooters, golf carts and floats are invited to participate. Parade participants should meet at Seagrove Plaza, next to Garrett Realty, no later than 7:15 a.m. with decorated entries. Registration for  the parade participants is required at 231-6107.

After the 4th of July parade, enjoy music in the Amphitheater from 30A Radio until 11 a.m., along with face painting and other fun. The celebration continues with Stars & Stripes at Seaside at 7 p.m. featuring Sinfonia Gulf Coast POPS concert under the stars. Enjoy your favorite patriotic songs along with familiar melodies from some of the biggest films in history. Bring your blanket.

End the day with one of the best 4th of July fireworks displays along the Emerald Coast. The fireworks can be viewed from the Seaside Amphitheater or along the beach.

Red, White & Baytowne – July 4th Celebration at the Village of Baytowne Wharf:
July 4th 9:00 a.m. Independence Day golf cart parade with face painting, hat decorating and a water slide from 10 a.m. to noon.

The fun continues from 6:00pm-10:00pm with facepainting, crafts and stiltwalking.

7:00pm-9:00pm Live Music by The ShrimpBoat Cowboys

9:15pm 4th of July Fireworks

Also the SS Solaris, anchored at the Sandestin Marina, plans to have a dinner cruise on July 4th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Boarding begins at 6:30. The Solaris will cruise out into the bay toward the Mid Bay Bridge and then come back to the Baytowne Harbor just in time to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the deck.

4th of July Extravaganza on the Harbor:
July 4th HarborWalk Village in Destin, FL 6:00pm-10:00pm – Third Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest (Dave’s Dogs – Yum!) with family activities, giveaways and a live concert. There will be a special Independence Day fireworks show over the Harbor at 9 p.m. (Rain date is 8:30 p.m. July 5).

Enjoy A Day Long Celebration at Rosemary Beach:
7:30am – North Barrett Square – Free Bike Parade: Decorate your bike (you can rent one from Bamboo Bicycle, too), enjoy donuts and juice and join the parade through town. Prizes awarded too! Parade begins 8:45am

9:00-11:00am Western Green – Old fashioned Barbecue. Pork, chicken, brisket, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, cobbler. Tickets: $20. For adults; $10. Kids 4-12 children 3 and under are free. Cash or check only and may be purchased at the event.

6:30-8:30pm Concert on the Green – Bring a blanket and enjoy the music under the stars, followed by 4th of July Fireworks at 8:45 p.m. Best viewing is on the beach.

4th of July at Eden State Park:
July 4th 10:00 – 12:00 noon Eden State Park, Santa Rosa Beach

Price: Included in the park admission fee

For all ages. Led by a Ranger, each family will get to build their own pirate ship and sail it in the reflection pond. Minors must be with an adult. There is room for 25 participants. All pirate building supplies will be provided. Please bring your own water, sun screen, insect repellent, appropriate shoes and clothing for weather conditions and your picnic lunch.
