Happy New Year! OK…I know it’s almost 6 weeks after the new year and this is my first post…the good news is that I am busy selling Destin Florida real estate!
If you haven’t seen the final numbers (2009 vs. 2008), check out the spreadsheet to the right. 2009 was a really good year for the Destin real estate market…better than 2008 for sure! We anticipate 2010 to be even better. Interest rates are still low and buyers are buying again. The proof is in the data…which has been compiled using the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors (ECAR) MLS database.
Here are a couple of charts…one showing the sales, which were up on average, 27.39% for the year and the other for pending sales, which were up on average 64.44%!! I’ll have a January (2010) spreadsheet and chart posted by tomorrow.
