In early September I wrote about a “Rumor”… properties aren’t selling. The fact is…Destin Florida properties (and surrounding areas) were selling then, and continue to sell now. Check out the spreadsheet on the right, Nov-YTD-2009, for the numbers.
The charts below, really proves my point. In 2009 we have, on average, 15% less units for sale, pending sales are up, on average, 66%!! Units sold are up 26%, on average and properties expiring are down roughly 7%, on average. With less properties for sale and less properties expiring, along with pending and sold properties rising, proves properties are selling. Remember, real estate is localized. The media speaks about real estate on a National level.

The above graphs have been compiled using the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors (ECAR) MLS database. The numbers reflect condos and single-family homes from the Destin Bridge to Rosemary Beach (east side of 30A). All properties are south of the bay.
